- Interoperability with other IM and voice networks - (configurable) IRC-style timestamps on each message (some people might like the iChat-style ones) - Chatrooms - Avatars - (optional) Encryption - Contacts grouping! - A kitchen sink! Okay, only kidding about that one...

I'd love it if a virtual whiteboard where available in GoogleTalk sometime in the near future, so that people could for instance collaborate on projects together over the net. I've got quite a few university groups going on in which working on projects is restricted to times when we can all get together in RL just because we can't discuss our ideas and draw them over the net. Thus, such an additional feature (it oculd be a bonus, additionally downloadable) would be a huge help!
